FORT PIERCE, FL, June 21, 2010 — Maverick Boat Company, Inc. continued to show it’s commitment to new model offerings by unveiling the all new Pathfinder 2300 HPS (High Performance Step) at its recent 2011 Dealer Meeting. The first entrant in the bay boat category to be developed specifically around Yamaha’s new SHO series of high- powered four-strokes outboards, this boat targets anglers who are looking for stepped-hull performance in a true bay boat platform.

Carrying the distinctive styling and lines that have come to trademark the Pathfinder brand, the 2300 HPS features a single-stepped hull and 20 inch bustle transom, both firsts for Pathfinder. “Stepped hulls have been proven as top-notch performers in terms of speed and efficiency in offshore circles for a long time,” said MBC CEO Scott Deal. “With the introduction of the high output SHO engines, we thought the timing was perfect to bring a performance stepped hull to the inshore market.” The setback bustle transom with standard 6 inch jackplate allows full use of the trim range on the 20 inch shaft SHOs without losing prop grip and frees the aft casting deck of typical obstructions related to steering and engine rigging.

More new features include a raised console with toe kick that creates a larger cockpit sole with two storage lockers, walk around gunwales with rear facing rod racks and tubes underneath, and larger forward and aft casting decks. Below deck, the boat is built to ABYC standards like all Pathfinders with custom-fitted, in-house wiring harnesses, all composite construction and premium hardware and components. “MBC was, and still is, built on product innovation. The 2300 HPS is tomorrow’s Pathfinder today. If the initial reaction from our dealers is any indication of future success, this boat is destined to be a homerun for us”, said Deal.

Pathfinder Boats are manufactured by Maverick Boat Company. Inc, builders of the legendary Maverick, Hewes and Cobia boats brands. For more information, go to www.pathfinderboats.com.
